CHECK OUT: World Popular Song Festival-1984- I represented the then West Germany in the WPSF for 1984 in Tokyo, Japan. I was selected from over 3000 entries from 59 countries. Although I am not German, my record company was based in Munich and that qualified me. I also co-wrote the song “Don’t Break the Silence” which I sang at the Budakon Hall with the Yamaha Pops Orchestra. I opened the show both nights of the festival; the first night the Yamaha Foundation chose me to open, the second night I drew my name out of a hat! I won second place and Outstanding Song Award. I broke a couple of records that night as well.
